Diagnostic hysteroscopy is performed at the doctor’s office without anesthesia and only five minutes. The internal part of the cervix, the uterine cavity (endometrial cavity) and the internal orifices of the fallopian tubes are examined, using direct hysteroscopy. This examination is especially suitable in cases of recurrent miscarriages, infertility, failed IVF implantation, and abnormal uterine bleeding.

Hysteroscopy can be used to diagnose a wide range of endocervical and endometrial pathological conditions, such as polyps, submucosal fibroids, endometrial adhesions, and inflammation. Furthermore, hysteroscopy can be used to collect a lavage of the endometrial cavity for microbiological testing (aerobic culture, anaerobic culture, DNA test for a large number of microbes).
